Ich hab mich nie gefragt ob es wichtig ist,
ob die Welt auch hält was sie mir verspricht.
Denn mal flieg ich hoch und mal fall ich tief.
Bin ein Kind der Geister, die ich rief.
Tage zu verbringen ist 'ne Leichtigkeit
und 24 Stunden sind 'ne Menge Zeit,
um jeden Morgen wieder 'n neues Leben zu beginnen
und den Glauben daran durch die Nacht zu bringen.
Ich leb den Tag!
Ich öffne die Augen
und fang' ihn von vorne an.
Einen Tag,
ganz in dem Glauben,
dass er alles bedeuten kann.
Ich hat 'n paar mal Pech und 'n paar mal Glück.
Ich gehe zwei Schritt vor, muss wieder einen zurück.
Manchmal sag ich was Wahres, mal lüge ich.
Denn ich nehm's wie es kommt und find es nicht.
Ich sehe die Dinge kommen und wieder gehen.
Doch nicht alles was ich seh' will ich auch versteh'n
Ab und zu sag ich "nein", meine aber "ja".
Manchmal lieber allein, manchmal für dich da.

A perfect concert, my best friend

Walk within my poetry, this dying music
My loveletter to nobody
Never sigh for a better world
It´s already composed, played and told
Every thought the music I write

Wrote for the eclipse, worte for the virgin
Died for the beauty, the one in the garden
Created a kingdom, reached for the wisdom
Failed in becoming a god

For I´ve given it its strength and it has become my only strength
Comforting home, mother´s lap, chance of immortality
Where being wanted became a thrill I never knew
The sweet piano writing down my life
Teach me passion for I fear it´s gone

So much more I wanted to give to the ones who love me
I´m sorry, time will tell this bitter farewell

O Bonny Portmore I am sorry to see
Such a woeful destruction of your ornament tree
For it stood on your shore for many's the long day
Till the long boats from Antrim came to float it away.
O Bonny Portmore you shine where you stand
And the more I think on you the more I think long
If I had you now as I had once before
All the Lords in Old England would not purchase Portmore.
All the Birds in the forest they bitterly weep
Saying "where shall we shelter or where shall we sleep?"
For the Oak and the Ash they all cutten down
And the walls of Bonny Portmore are all down to the ground.
O Bonny Portmore you shine where you stand
And the more I think on you the more I think long
If I had you now as I had once before
All the Lords in Old England would not purchase Portmore.
